3 Sustainable Activewear Brands That’ll Elevate Your Gym Sesh!
Looking for sustainable activewear that’s also luxuriously comfy? Here’s 3 brands that do sustainable gym wear for both men and women.
As someone who hits the gym or does some form of workout 5 times a week I’m constantly looking for activewear that’s comfortable, great quality, and helps enhance the experience at the gym, all while being responsible.
Without further ado I’ll dive into a few options you can try. Of course with activewear, you have to see what works for you, in terms of the kind of workouts you do, indoor or outdoor wear, and the fit and fabric you prefer, but these are some of the brands that I’ve tried and would recommend to my community. While I haven’t tried the menswear from these brands, based on my experience of wearing their womenswear, I’d say it’s probably worth for the boys to check these brands out as well!
Pact

I actually bought my first set from Pact’s airplane collection, not so much to travel in but to feel comfortable and elegant while working from home. The set I bought was soooo cozy and comfortable that I ended up ordering some activewear as well. From HIIT to leg days, the leggings from Pact haven’t disappointed.
What makes Pact a sustainability ninja?
- Pact predominantly uses organic cotton, a lower-impact material.
- They’ve eliminated single-use plastic from their packaging and are instead using recyclable paper bags
- They work with Fair Trade certified factories that ensure sustainable manufacturing and safe working conditions
- They try and offset the impact of each Pact product through reforestation, renewable energy, and by supporting initiatives that sequester carbon from the atmosphere. As Pact consumers we can be involved in this initiative as well.
- My favourite initiative they run is a scheme under which we can send over (free shipping) our pre-loved items from any brand to Pact for them to use their awesome sauce and give them a second life. Like that isn’t rewarding enough, returning pre-loved items can earn us Pact credit which we can redeem against our Pact purchases.
Adidas By Stella McCartney

You know that a product designed by Stella McCartney will be responsible. As part of a joint venture with Adidas, Stella has been designing activewear for them since 2005. Personally I love the Stella McCartney line as it checks all the boxes. Chic, great quality, and kinder to the planet, people and animals.
What makes Stella McCartney x Adidas a sustainability ninja?
- They use a high percentage of low impact materials such as organic cotton or recycled material
- They use cruelty-free alternatives
- All Adidas by Stella pieces are PVC plastic free
- Stella McCartney as a brand ensure that they source raw materials responsibly
The Giving Movement

For those in the UAE, athleisure by The Giving Movement is a great option to enjoy stylish designs that are sustainable and impactful.
Born in Dubai their core mission is ‘To create a new model where fashion is meaningful, sustainable, and directly contributes to positive societal and environmental change, promoting “Humanity in Motion” through action and care.’
What makes The Giving Movement a sustainability ninja?
- They are completely local to the UAE, with everything sourced locally from supply to production
- They use fabrics and manufacturing methods that minimise their ecological footprint
- Child welfare, humanitarian aid, and nature preservation are the cornerstone on which this brand has been founded
- They try and avoid overproduction and use lower impact fabric such as recycled polyester, recycled spandex, organic bamboo, organic cotton and low-impact dyes.
If you dive into the world of sustainable athleisure you will find many more options, however I wanted to mention the brands I’ve personally tried and thought might help glam up your fitness routine!
And On The Flix List Today
Nothing to do with sports apparel but everything to do with the unifying power of sport, Invictus is a movie that teaches us the power of compassion, forgiveness and true leadership. This masterpiece starring Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon is a must watch – it will leave you feeling inspired to be more resilient, forgiving and to take the bull by its horns (something we all need from time to time to turn adversity on its head!)
Final Verdict!
Sport + sustainability = soulful strength
Remember Compassion is Classy 😊
